SportsCarLA — Different Life
Same price. Different life.
Self-initiated concept — not affiliated with SportsCarLA, and never commissioned by them.
One man, one morning, told twice — once in a grey crossover, once in a red convertible. Same street, same errand, same money.
Nobody commissioned this. We wanted a car film that argues instead of admiring: if two cars cost the same, the only thing that separates them is the life you get around them. So we shot the same morning twice and changed one variable.
Same price, different life. The first pass is a commute — coffee, folder, a silver crossover chosen by default, traffic. Then the film rewinds and hands him a red convertible instead, and nothing else about the day changes.
Two grades doing opposite work: flat, cool suburbia for the commute, then warm low sun and open sky once the roof is gone. It lands on an aerial — one red car in a row of identical white ones.
Fully synthetic across ninety seconds — one lead locked as a character, two vehicles, a suburban block built to match, cut to a vintage funk track and graded.
