Audi R8 — Driver
Some moments need a driver.
Self-initiated concept — not affiliated with Audi, and never commissioned by them.
A brand film set in a world that drives itself — until a man who remembers the wheel takes it back for one last stretch of coast road.
Nobody commissioned this. We wanted a car film that argues something rather than circling a car: if the machine can drive, what is the driver still for? Audi's own rally history made the counter-argument for us.
Some moments need a driver. He rides autonomous through a city of data and voice assistants, remembers a red quattro throwing dust, and answers by taking the wheel of an R8 at golden hour.
A cold, hands-off first half — glass towers, dashboard glow, a cabin with no steering wheel — turning warm and analogue the moment he drives: sunset, coast road, engine.
Fully synthetic, with one lead held across the film — autonomous interiors, archive-feel rally footage and the R8 all generated, then edited and graded to a premium automotive finish.
